Ms. Anderson will be working with the class for the next four weeks, but I plan on posting her assignments on the blog.
Other news: today vocabulary 5 will be passed out. This is due on Tuesday November 24.As this is the day before the break, by the time you return, the grade won't be worth anything. Remember you can always turn in the work early or send along the responses.
PAPER: yes, the proverbial paper...and this one is quite significant. You'll receive the handout instructions in class. Please discuss the Bryant's attitude towards life. The paper should be approximately 500 words, size 12 Times New Roman. MLA format. You should have copious textual evidence. Every paragraph should have a statement, proof and analysis. As you will quickly see, this is about Romanticism, so everyone should have be very familiar with the overall concepts.
How this paper is different: THE PAPER IS DUE ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 30. IN CLASS THIS WEEK YOU WILL SIGN UP FOR INDIVIDUAL WRITING CONFERENCES, WHICH WILL BEGIN ON DECEMBER 1. WE WILL REVIEW THE PAPER TOGETHER. IT WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU TO BE CORRECTED, AUGMENTED, PERFECTED. WITHIN ONE WEEK OF YOUR CONFERENCE YOU WILL RETURN THE PAPER TO ME.You will recieve two writing grades that will go into the 3rd period grading: one for the initial paper and a second for the corrected one.
