We are reading Arthur Miller's play The Crucible
Homework: Please read the introductory material on the philosophical context of the play. This is the overture to Act I, which runs through the top of page 8.

Note the following excerpts and be prepared to discuss and or write about them.

Theocracy: a combined state and religious power
